Today early morning we flew first of the several measurements flights over Cyprus and Mediterranean.
Yesterday we flew in from Corfu in almost 6 hours flight in good weather, but a lot of discussing with Athene controllers. Finally they allowed us to remain on FL95 through their airspace, what saved us some fuel. Abelair handling agent in Larnaca helped us with permissions and organizing our special needs. Luka Drinovec flew in with Austrian airlines almost the same time as we landed on hot and humid runway. Today flight was a kind of test what would be possible as we are operating measurements around international very busy airport and some military training areas over Cyprus. But with help of very kind Abelair manager, Mr. Kyriacos and very kind controller everything was possible so our flight went according to research needs. Great! Tomorrow our flight will be a bit later as we need different temperature condition.
