The first measurements of the Sahara sand

The flight to Avinyonet, small airfield west of Barcelona was uneventful, we kept altitude at 8000 ft and saw almost nothing.

The air was saturated with Sahara sand so visibility dropped to zero over the sea between Marseille and Girona. Strong southerly winds of 60 km/h from Africa are bringing very hot and polluted air.
First flight early morning over Montserrat mountain was beautiful and to the North of Spain bad visibility up to 3000 m. There we lost fuel pressure and engine almost died. Domen reacted fast and armed aux fuel pump to get normal rpm. Maybe it was because of the bad fuel we got on the airfield, who knows. Grisa is waiting for us, he looked happy with the results when he downloaded data. And after, we kept thinking about the solution for technical problem. Temperature of 36 degrees Celsius slowed down our thinking....
